Am I Eligible for the TRT Program? 🤔Updated 10 months ago
Understanding the Criteria for Joining Our TRT Program
We want to ensure that everyone who joins our Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) program meets the necessary health criteria to benefit from the treatment safely and effectively. Here's what you need to know about eligibility for our TRT program.
✔️ Age Requirement: You must be 18 years or older to be eligible for our TRT program.
✔️ Medical History: A detailed medical history review is conducted to ensure there are no contraindications to TRT. This includes understanding any existing health conditions and current medications.
✔️Symptoms of Low Testosterone: Candidates should exhibit symptoms of low testosterone, such as fatigue, low libido, muscle loss, mood changes, and other related symptoms.
✔️ Blood Work: Blood tests are required to measure your testosterone levels. These tests help our medical team determine if TRT is appropriate for you. Low testosterone levels confirmed through blood work are a key factor in eligibility.
✔️ Health Card: A valid health card is required for lab work and consultations. If you do not have a health card, you may need to pay out-of-pocket for certain services.
⚠️ Exclusions ⚠️
Certain health conditions may exclude you from TRT. You must not have any of the following:
- Known allergy to testosterone
- Known or suspected male breast cancer
- Desire to have children
- Metastatic or high-risk prostate cancer
- Uncontrolled heart disease (e.g., angina, high blood pressure, arrhythmia)
- Recent stroke, heart attack, or DVT/clot
- Residency in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Manitoba
